Your questions. Our answers!
For anyone 16 or older, AXE BAR features ten lanes of axe throwing in a professional and comfortable environment for groups of two to sixty to reserve.
What is axe throwing?
Axe throwing is a sport that involves competitors throwing an axe at a target, trying to get as close as they can to the bullseye. After a briefing you and your friends will first learn the basics and then play a variety of games, all led by a trained throwing coach. He or she will show you how to safely handle an axe and chuck it with accuracy while giving you plenty of tips along the way.
We offer 2 options to play: Axe Fun ($25 per person) and Axe Tournament ($45 per person). More information below.
Is it safe?
Absolutely. Safety is our number one priority. There are more than 200 venues already in the United States and we have talked to numerous operators about the safety.
The format we use and the construction of the throwing lanes are all focused around the safety of the participants. We will build the lanes according very strict safety standards.
Each competitor throws in his/her own individual lane and competes side-by-side with another competitor. We will have an event coordinator/throwing coach who is responsible for ensuring safety protocols are adhered to. Only the two active competitors throwing at that time are allowed within the throwing area, all other competitors are required to wait in the safety zone behind the lanes.
How does it work? And what’s the price?
Axe throwing sessions will be led by trained and engaging axe throwing coaches who will guide teams through lessons on how to safely and effectively throw. As everybody becomes comfortable throwing and sticking their hatchets, their coach will conduct fun, simple, competitive games that will determine the length of the session.
Larger groups will be able to reserve multiple booths (sets of two lanes) while smaller groups can take advantage of select “free throw” lanes. Groups of 50 or more can even rent out the AXE BAR space in its entirety. Special party tournament packages (starting at $45 per person) will be available for birthdays parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate and team building events as well.
